ARE YOU A CHRISTIAN DISCIPLE?

WHAT IS BIBLICAL DISCIPLESHIP?

Making disciples is noa ministry of the church - it is the ministry of the church. When Jesus ascended into heaven in Acts 1, he handed the baton to the men that he taught and trained. If the early church was going to succeed, it was dependent upon the faithfulness of those men. That is also what we see in the life of Paul, and it is what the church is still dependent on - faithful men and women who will take the baton from those who have gone before them, and carry it to the next generation. This cannot be done through a 4-week class or a "plug and play" program. It must be very intentional, relational, practical and instructional - just as Jesus did it with his disciples. Discipleship must be the life-style of the church, and if the church does not do anything else, it must make disciples.

Thus, discipleship is God’s method for transferring spiritual life from one generation to the next. The Bible has given us example-after-example of how people’s lives are changed when one person is willing to be loved and taught by another, more mature believer. Join us to learn more about how you can become a disciple of Jesus Christ.

AM I GROWING?

Whether you see yourself as an outsider or you would consider yourself a seasoned Christian, we believe there is a place for you at Living Faith to grow in your relationship with God.

So, where do you fit in?

I AM SEEKING

Approaching the Bible and asking difficult questions about life and death can feel daunting, and we do not think that it should be done alone. Moreover, we happily invite you to learn and grow with us. God is not scared of hard questions, and the Bible says that he even invites us to come and reason with him. Isa 1:18

I WANT TO GROW

Every believer is called to be established in four major areas: worship, the word of God, the local church, and the work of the ministry. Once again, discipleship, as modeled by the Lord Jesus Christ himself, is not a program but the method by which we grow and mature in Christ. It’s about learning of God in an intimate setting where through the exchange of life a person is trained, sharpened, and challenged to live out what the scriptures say.

Tactically speaking, this spiritual work gets accomplished in every activity of the local church, however, we have also structured and organized a clear path of growth into three major stages to ensure accountability and development.

I WANT TO LEAD OTHERS

If you desire to oversee and care for people’s souls, the Bible says that you desire a good work. So many people are like sheep without a shepherd, and they need believers to lead them into an authentic relationship with the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. Moreover, edification must be measured. If the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch (Matt 15:14). Biblical doctrine is progressive, and like any other building project, a strong foundation must be laid according to the blueprints.
